What is an Unintentional Concert?

What is an Unintentional Concert, you ask?  Well, literally it is the musical "entertainment" that enters my office most days.  You see, I have this vent in my wall that leads directly into the bathroom where the girls in the residential facility in which I work take baths.   The girls like their music in the bath, and they like to sing along.  In fact, if they have not earned the ability to bring a radio into the bathroom, they create their own playlist.  However, I mean this in more of a figurative sense here.  An Unintentional Concert is anytime you can find a simple joy, a positive spin, a personal gain from that which might ordinarily be considered undesirable for one reason or another.  I will admit that I sometimes have to search deep for that simple joy when I am hearing "Temporary Home" by Carrie Underwood for the third bath in a row...on repeat.  But it speaks to them and they speak to me.  I can't help but find myself smiling at their off-key duets.

That is the challenge of my work and the challenge of life.  How can we find a glimmer of hope, a blessing in disguise, a grain of truth, or whichever cliche you choose?  If you are not searching for it, then what are you waiting for?  If you haven't found it, keep searching.  If you don't think it's there, keep reading...
